Every shelter is going to have its own specific set of needs. However, there are some needs that are common to almost all shelters – particularly shelters for women and victims of domestic violence. Those needs are:
- Cleaning supplies (glass cleaner, toilet cleaner, laundry detergent, etc.)
- Toiletries (tampons, pads, shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.)
- Paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc.)
- Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, baby food, formula)
- Non-perishable food supplies (canned goods, jar goods, dry goods)
- Underwear (for women, girls and boys)
- School supplies (paper, pencils, pens, crayons, glue sticks, erasers, you name it)

I know my way around state because my husband worked there for years. I love what your are doing. It shows how one person can make a difference and get so many more people involved.
